This is an exciting opportunity to work with a fantastic team and company that truly holds children and our team members at the centre of all we do.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as Deputy Manager at our 2-bedroom home in Wigan, currently graded Outstanding, which supports children with emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties.

The role would ideally suit someone who aspires to become a registered manager.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children and is motivated to offer the highest standards of care. There is career progression, and support will be given to assist the right candidate to progress to the next step in their career.

Please Note: There is the opportunity that this role will become 9-5pm in the future, this will be discussed at the telephone interview stage.

Overview of Role



To ensure children are effectively safeguarded. To provide a loving home for children and the team to thrive To ensure the home exceeds all regulatory standards. Support the manager with recruitment. Ensure that the home works in line with PACE To complete supervisions and train and develop the team Attend and ensure the team attend training. To grow and develop your team Implement and support the team with paperwork and plans. Contribute to the organisations on call system. Work on rota with some additional 9-5 to support the manager.

What we are looking for in a person



Experience of management supporting children with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties. Someone who understands the importance of a loving home and how to create this. Sound knowledge of Ofsted Regulations and The Children's homes Quality Standards. Must have Diploma level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent. Ideally qualified to level 5 Leadership and Management Residential Services or Equivalent. (if not this will be provided). A good understanding of PACE would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided. Full UK Driving License. Good written and IT skills. Must have a minimum of 2 years working within a children's home, with at least 1 year at a Senior/Team Leader level.

Pay: 40,434.00-42,462.00 per year
