We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Children's Manager to oversee the daily operations of our specialised childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a compassionate approach, and a comprehensive understanding of child care management. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring compliance with care standards, and delivering exceptional support tailored to children's needs. Applicants should have relevant experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care settings specialising in children's welfare. A recognised management qualification and prior supervising experience are essential to ensure the highest standards of care and safety are maintained.
Duties
Lead and supervise a team of childcare professionals, ensuring high-quality service delivery
Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans for children with diverse needs
Oversee daily operational activities within the care home environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
Coordinate training programmes for staff to maintain professional development and adherence to best practices
Monitor medication administration procedures where applicable, ensuring safety and accuracy
Manage documentation related to care plans, incident reports, and regulatory compliance records
Foster positive relationships with children, families, and external agencies to promote wellbeing and community engagement
Ensure the environment is safe, clean, and conducive to children's development and comfort
Lead initiatives in dementia or Alzheimer's care when applicable to children with special needs or disabilities requiring specialised support
Skills
Proven management and supervising experience within care homes or similar settings specialising in senior or child care
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop teams effectively
Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, medication administration, and personalised care planning
Experience in assisted living or nursing home environments is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining accurate records and compliance documentation
Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills tailored to children and their families
Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy
Familiarity with health & safety regulations relevant to child care environments
