Due to recent growth and new placements, we're expanding our team and seeking a Children's Home Manager to play a vital role in providing outstanding care and support to the young people in our home.
About the role:
As Children's Home Manager, reporting directly to the Company Directors, you'll lead and develop the care team, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations.
You'll work closely with social workers, education providers, and families to create a supportive, therapeutic environment. You'll drive positive outcomes for children and young people, promote staff development, and foster a culture of empathy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the home in line with Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards.
Drive positive outcomes for young people through safe, nurturing, and empowering care.
Ensure robust safeguarding practices and act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Recruit, lead, and support staff, ensuring supervision, training, and development.
Maintain regulatory compliance, oversee inspections, audits, and performance monitoring.
Build strong partnerships with external agencies and promote a culture of continuous improvement/
Manage rotas, resources, finances, and health & safety procedures.
About You:
Minimum 2 years' management experience in a children's residential setting.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or equivalent).
Strong working knowledge of safeguarding legislation and residential care regulations.
Excellent leadership, decision-making and people-management skills.
Resilient, flexible, and committed to achieving the best for young people
Full UK Driving Licence and use of a vehicle.
