Duties
Oversee the daily operations of the care facility, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
Lead and supervise a team of caregivers, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to the specific needs of each child.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and best practices in care provision, including safeguarding policies.
Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care.
Monitor the wellbeing of children in the facility, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
Conduct regular training sessions for staff on topics such as dementia care, home care practices, and child development.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and any incidents that occur within the facility.
Qualifications
A valid registration as a Children's Manager with relevant qualifications in childcare or social work.
Proven experience in a leadership role within a care home, nursing home, or assisted living environment.
Strong understanding of dementia care principles and practices is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and staff.
A compassionate approach to caregiving with a commitment to promoting the welfare of children.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Previous experience in supervising staff is essential; experience in home care settings is an advantage.
