Children's Palliative Care Nurse - 22.5 hours per week
17,814 per annum (29,691 FTE) with room to develop and progress through the pay grade banding up to 19,664 per annum (32,774 FTE) on a competency-based framework.
Keech Hospice are looking for a qualified children's nurse to join our inpatient unit and deliver a high standard of nursing care to the children and their families. You will be working alongside experienced nurses and support workers to make a real difference and help make the most of families cherished time. This role is for two shifts per week, including long days, nights and weekends.
What you will do
Join an incredible team and work hand in hand with colleagues, ensuring our patients and families receive the holistic and medical care they deserve
Become a valued member of the inpatient team and wider children's service, creating memorable connections with children, young people, families and colleagues forming the foundation of our work
Be a compassionate advocate for children and families, promoting empowerment and guiding them towards choices and opportunities to improve their quality of life
Provide high quality palliative and end of life care following symptom management plans
To plan, deliver and evaluate care plans taking in to account the child and family's needs in a range of settings
What you need to do it
RSCN qualification
Knowledge of palliative care principles
Knowledge of loss, bereavement and child protection
Good interpersonal and time management skills
One year post registration relevant experience
