About the Role:
In this full-time position, you'll work closely with young residents who have faced a range of challenges and need stability, safety, and support. You'll play a key role in guiding their day-to-day routines, helping them build emotional resilience and life skills in a nurturing environment.
You'll be involved in:
Providing emotional and practical support tailored to each child's needs
Creating a warm, safe, and structured home environment
Assisting with care plans and contributing to progress reports
Recording important information on wellbeing and behaviour
Helping young people develop independence, confidence, and personal responsibility
Shift Pattern:
40 hours per week
Average of 1-2 sleep-in per week
Shifts may include a mix of weekdays, weekends, evenings, and public holidays, and will follow a predictable rota.
What You'll Need:
Some experience working with children or young people in care, education or support settings
A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete this - we'll fully support and fund it)
A caring, calm, and reliable nature
The ability to manage challenging situations with empathy and resilience
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
