Our home is a specialist short break centre based in Keighley that benefits children and young people, and their families. Children are happier and healthier and develop greater independence skills from their experience at our home. We offer a safe a secure place that looks at meeting the individual needs of all that use the service. The short breaks are fun and fulfilling. We aim to enhance the quality of life and contribute to a happy child and young adulthood.
We care for children and young people aged 5-18yrs old with learning, physical or sensory disabilities and complex health needs and offer residential specialist short breaks for children and young people who need a break from their families/carers. This can be an overnight stay, tea time stay or during the weekends and school holiday we offer day time stays.

The children and young people in our care have complex health needs and disabilities, making it vital that we provide them with a secure and stable environment, as part of our experienced, committed and compassionate team.
We're looking for committed individuals who are passionate about putting children and young people at the heart of everything they do.
This role involves shifts, weekends, sleep ins and bank holidays on a rota basis.

What we expect from you

Assist with daily activities such as getting ready for the day, including school and assisting with homework where possible.

Experience working with young children with complex health needs and disabilities.
Hold natural empathy and a caring attitude towards the children that lives with us and adopt a family mentality within the home.
You will need
Ideally you will have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent:
+ Level 3 in Children & Young Peoples Workforce
+ Level 3 Caring for Children and Young People
+ Level 3 Health and Social Care Experience of working in a challenging and changing environment being adaptable and resilient.
Experience of working in a Children's Home or health care setting where there are extensive transferable skills for working with children with complex health needs and disabilities, OR in the last year, be able to demonstrate experience of working with children and young people who have emotional/behavioural/complex health needs and physical/learning disabilities either in a paid or voluntary capacity in a children's home, social care setting, a school, youth service, or any other service or provision designed to support children and young people.
Experience in contributing to the maintenance of administrative records
Experience of working within a team setting
