FEVACA is a dedicated children's social work organization that provides Ofsted registered Children's Homes and Supported Accommodations for young people aged 14 to 18. We are committed to using social work theory and relational practice to drive positive outcomes for our young people.
Summary
We are seeking a Support Worker to join our dynamic team in providing essential support to young people in our care. This role is pivotal in fostering a safe and nurturing environment, contributing significantly to the overall mission of FEVACA.
Responsibilities
Provide direct support to young people, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Assist in the development and implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs.
Foster positive relationships with young people, promoting their emotional and social development.
Facilitate engaging activities that encourage personal growth and skill development.
Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress in accordance with organisational policies.
Communicate effectively with families, guardians, and external agencies as needed.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Promote the education and wellbeing of the young people.
Qualifications/Experience
Proven experience working with children or young people in a care setting.
Understanding of the quality standards in supported accommodation.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to develop and implement care plans effectively.
Valid driving license is preferred but not essential.
Proficient in IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
A compassionate approach with a strong commitment to safeguarding children.
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (training will also be provided)
