We are a small, passionate and dynamic care provider, based in beautiful Devon, who strives to create a safe, homely and welcoming environment for young people to thrive and in our small way, make a positive difference to their lives, now and in future. We are currently seeking an equally passionate member of the team to support in our children's home and work alongside the management team to ensure high quality care is being delivered. Our team is hands-on, and united by a shared mission: to make a lasting, positive difference in the lives of those who need it most.

We describe ourselves as non-corporate, and we mean it! In essence it means that whilst of course we have processes and policies we must adhere to, as a good provider should, but we can make beneficial decisions quickly. We don't have to wait for multiple layers of management to review ideas. If you see something that can be done better, then we make those calls within hours, not weeks we make it happen quickly. Your ideas won't sit in a queue; they'll be heard and acted on.

Each day in your role is different and full of purpose. You might be supporting with household tasks such as food shopping, health and safety checks, cleaning, and food preparation. Your day could include school runs, taking children to clubs, and attending appointments. You'll complete admin tasks to support the home's development, record accurate daily notes, and administer medication. There's also time to plan fun activities, enjoy dinner and meaningful conversations, teach life skills, and most importantly be there for children and young people when they need you most.

An enhanced training and induction program to best prepare you for the role. Enhanced Annual leave entitlement of 280 hours. Bespoke development plans that will help you to achieve your goals, this can include qualifications and progression opportunities. Access to free external health and wellbeing services 24/7 Access to a wellness app that has includes a range of resources from fitness to mental wellbeing support. Small company resulting in quick decision making and ability to be adaptable. This results in queries being resolved quickly. Out of hours on call service. Funded Level 4 within residential childcare - Since using the training provider, we have understood more of what they offer, and they have provided learning opportunities that align with learning the role and this sector, therefore we prioritise enrolment onto the course as you desire. Currently, the course does not require a commitment to complete the functional skills element, however if you have a wish to complete this we would support this.

Requirements:



Passionate about supporting better futures for children and young people Flexibility to meet the needs of the home, this role is made up of shift work (Including sleep in's). Full Uk Driving licence - Company cars are provided to utilise when on shift. It is vital that we safeguard children and young people therefore the role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and the recruitment process adheres to the safer recruitment legislation.
The role is part of a small team within our 2 bed OFSTED registered home, working on a rota basis. A sleep-in element is required and starts at 10pm. This is paid in additon to your hourly rate.
