As a

Support Worker

in our

Ofsted registered residential children's home

, you'll provide hands-on care, guidance and emotional support to children aged 10-17 with social, emotional and behavioural needs. Each day you'll help young people feel safe, build confidence and develop the skills they need to achieve brighter futures.

Your Role as a Children's Residential Support Worker



As a

Day Support Worker

, you'll play a key role in the daily life of our children's home, supporting young people to feel safe, valued and empowered to grow.

Key responsibilities include:



Providing consistent emotional and practical support to children aged 10-17. Supporting young people with daily routines including meals, personal care, and education. Promoting independence, positive behaviour and healthy life choices. Acting as a keyworker, setting and reviewing personal goals with each young person. Building positive relationships through trust, patience and understanding. Safeguarding and protecting children at all times, following procedures and risk assessments. Supporting household routines including cooking, cleaning and maintaining a safe environment. Maintaining accurate records, logs and care plans in line with Ofsted standards. Participating in handovers, supervision, team meetings and reflective practice. Engaging in continuous professional development and training.

What We're Looking For



At least

1 year of experience

working in

residential childcare

or a similar setting (preferred).

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare

, or willingness to complete this qualification. Compassionate, resilient and child-focused approach to care. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Understanding of

safeguarding

, child protection and trauma-informed practice.

Full UK driving licence

- desirable but not essential.
