About Us
Sunlight Children's Care is a family run residential childcare provider, offering a variety of residential placements to young people between the ages of 8 - 18 who may display emotional and challenging behaviours. The young people placed within our services have often experienced significant adversity and trauma in their young lives and may no longer able to reside within their familial / foster home.
Our aim is to create a safe and sustainable nurturing environment for our young people and a developmental and rewarding workplace for our care team. Our position
We have an exciting opportunity within Sunlight Children's Care Ltd to work as a therapeutic Children's Residential Childcare Support Worker, working with young people between the ages of 8 -18.
The Residential Childcare Support Worker vacancy is open to experienced candidates who hold or working towards their Level 3 diploma in Children's and Young People or a higher qualification but we will also consider a person with transferable experience and understanding of the challenges young people and carers face within a residential care setting.
The working pattern is based on a 3 week-rolling rota basis, calculated at 56.4 hours per week(sleeps included), equating to 1 day on, 2 days off (08:00am-11:00pm + sleep). Sleep shifts are included in the annual salary and payment of which is guaranteed when on annual leave.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
