We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at a children's home in Dudley. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality care and support to children and young people, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and support to children and young people in a residential care setting.
Assist in the day-to-day running of the children's home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Promote positive behavior and create individual care plans that meet the needs of each child.
Build positive and professional relationships with children, colleagues, and external agencies.
Support children and young people in achieving their personal goals, promoting their independence and social development.
Respond to challenging situations with a calm and proactive approach.
Ensure accurate record-keeping and report any safeguarding concerns to the relevant authorities.
Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people, preferably within a residential care setting.
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or working towards it) is desirable but not essential.
A valid DBS check will be required (we can assist with this process).
