The Role
We're looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic Support Worker to be a role model and a trusted support in our children's homes. This is a shift-based role that includes early, late, long days, sleep-ins, weekends and bank holidays -- reflecting the holistic, round-the-clock support we provide.
You'll join a passionate team focused on giving children the stability, curiosity, and joy they deserve. Our children may use Makaton, symbols or signs to communicate, and we embrace every tool that helps us listen with empathy.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver compassionate, child-centred care as part of a highly supportive team
Help plan and engage in creative activities that spark curiosity and build confidence
Build strong relationships that promote emotional wellbeing and inclusion
Support children's development and self-image through meaningful daily routines
Record daily notes, report safeguarding concerns, and collaborate with professionals and families
What You'll Bring
A calm, positive presence and a can-do attitude
Experience or interest in children's residential care and learning disabilities
Teamwork, resilience, and the ability to adapt in emotionally complex situations
A desire to work towards (or completion of) a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People
A driving licence is desirable to support flexibility across our homes
