FEVACA is a dedicated children's social work organization that provides Ofsted registered Children's Homes and Supported Accommodations for young people aged 14 to 18. Our mission is to drive effective outcomes through relational practice, ensuring that every young person receives the support they need.
Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in supporting young people in our care. This role is based in the UK and plays a crucial part in fostering a safe and nurturing environment that aligns with our organizational values.
Responsibilities
Provide direct support to young people in residential settings.
Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans.
Foster positive relationships with young people, promoting their emotional and social well-being.
Collaborate with social workers, educators, and other professionals to ensure holistic care.
Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress.
Engage young people in activities that promote personal development.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications/Experience
Proven experience working with children or young people in a care setting.
Strong understanding of childcare principles and practices.
Ability to develop and implement care plans effectively.
Excellent communication skills for interaction with young people and team members.
Valid driving license is preferred but not essential.
Basic IT skills are beneficial but not required.
Level 3 or 5 in Residential childcare (Not essential as this will be offered by fevaca)
