Summary

As a Support Worker at FEVACA, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering young people in our care. This position is essential in helping them navigate their challenges and achieve their personal goals while fostering a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support to young people in residential settings, promoting their well-being and development. Assist with daily living activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Encourage positive behaviors and help young people develop life skills. Build trusting relationships with residents to foster engagement and personal growth. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create individualized care plans. Monitor progress and provide feedback to the team regarding each young person's development.

Requirements

Experience working with children or young people in a supportive role is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Empathy and patience when dealing with challenging situations. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Pay: 13.00-13.65 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 39 per week
