An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Residential Support worker to join our team in our newly developed Ofsted Registered Children's home.

We have a brand new 2 bedded home and are seeking compassionate and dedicated residential support Workers to join our team. We have a highly motivated and experienced RM on board. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing support to our children and young people , within our beautifully newly renovated home.

Our aim is to deliver the highest possible standards of therapeutic care, to the vulnerable children and young people of our community.

This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for children and young people in care, ensuring their needs are met with empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities



Provide direct support to children ie. emotional, mental health and assisting with daily activities if and when required. Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each child's specific requirements. Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to care. Maintain accurate records of progress and any changes in behaviour or health. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support services. Assist in the planning and execution of recreational activities that promote social interaction and development. Drive to various locations as required for outings or appointments, ensuring safe transport for children under care. To follow guidance from the registered manager, team Leader and other senior colleagues to ensure the smooth day to day running of the home is providing structure and appropriate boundaries for the young people in our care. To have a flexible approach to shift patterns which may sometimes require changes to your rota at short notice.

Skills



Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children and their families.

Essential to have Level 3 in Children's Residential care.

Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes. Ability to develop and follow care plans meticulously. A valid UK driving licence is preferred for transportation duties. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help young people are critical attributes for success in this position! Experience in childcare or working with children is essential. Someone with a passion to work with young people and provide them with a positive parenting model. WHAT WE OFFER Continued training and professional development.
