Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker
Location: Huddersfield, Cleckheaton, HD3, HD5, BD19
Salary:
This is representative of 13.50p/h over a 37.3h week & based on our working rota of 7 shifts over 3 weeks, (approximately 26,244 p/a).
Sleep in duties, are paid at 60 per sleep in, (approximately 7320 p/a)
We are seeking a caring and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team at our residential children's home. Our home provides a safe and nurturing environment for children who have experienced trauma, poor early childhood experiences or mild mainstream to complex needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the children in the home with their daily needs and routines, promoting their emotional and physical well-being, and helping them to achieve their individual goals and aspirations.
Responsibilities:
Providing emotional and practical support to the children in the home.
Assisting with personal care and hygiene.
Preparing and serving meals and snacks.
Administering medication as prescribed.
Facilitating and participating in activities and outings.
Maintaining a clean and safe environment for the children.
Communicating effectively with colleagues and other professionals.
Keeping accurate records and reports.
Requirements:
At least six months' experience working with children in a care setting.
Understanding of child development and the impact of trauma.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Caring and compassionate nature.
Ability to work as part of a team.

A full driving licence is essential for the role to be able to provide the high quality of service we do. Non drivers should not apply, you will not be shortlisted, as you will not meet the needs of the children. All our homes have access to at least 2 company cars for children, there is no expectation that you must use your own, like with other companies*
Desirable:
A relevant qualification in childcare (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children's Care, Learning and Development)
This roll will involve a working a 3-week rolling shift pattern with your team, 9.30am to 10am the following day, on the below pattern. this role does include sleep in's,
Wk1 Monday, Wednesday & Saturday
Wk2 Tuesday, Friday & Sunday
Wk3 Thursday
