Support Worker

The
Support Workers
will be part of a small team of staff whose focus will be on the care planning and outcomes for children and young people in accordance with the home's ethos, ensuring high quality outcomes as defined in our Statement of Purpose.
Ideally you would have recent experience of working within a regulated children's social care service, preferably within a residential environment however, we welcome people in who have not had this experience but are willing to get stuck in and learn how rewarding this role can be.

Main duties and responsibilities?
- Being a team player alongside your colleagues to maintain high standards of professionalism, communication and report writing
- Following the home's procedures and routines
- Adhering to placement plans and risk assessments to protect children and staff under organisational policies
- To work in line with the companies' policies and procedures
- Adhere to legislation and guidance including the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Completing shifts to support the children with their day-to-day tasks and activities

Qualifications needed?
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care for Children or Young people or equivalent (
Preferred but will consider if working towards)
Experience needed?
- At
least 1 year
of recent experience in children's residential care (
Preferred)
Skills and requirements needed?
- Knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations
(Preferred)
- Access to own car

- On the DBS Update Service
(Essential)
