Your Role

As a

Children's Residential Support Worker

, you will:

Encourage young people to engage in activities and take responsibility for their lives based on age and ability Maintain a friendly, homely environment in the home Manage challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism Protect children and young people from risks to health and welfare Support young people to develop independence and well-being Ensure the home is safe and all care plans, guidelines, and communication methods are followed Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, parents, social workers, psychologists, and other professionals
What You'll Bring

Experience as a Support Worker in a similar setting is essential Background as a Youth Worker is highly desirable Enhanced DBS Certificate and employee reference checks Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred) Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children in a residential setting or youth work (Level 3 qualification can be completed while working) Empathy, resilience, and a calm, supportive approach
