Job Description

The vision is to offer a stable and supportive home where every child is able to fulfil their potential regardless of barriers, they may face to achieve these.

The home offers bespoke care packages to suit the individual needs for each young person recognising that with differing needs to achieve and fulfil potential they will need differing approaches to support this. With a person-centred approach, they offer flexible care ranging from 1:1 support to 2:1 support where necessary and appropriate depending on specific needs.

This home offer Restorative Practice which is a social science that studies how to improve and repair relationships between people and communities following conflict, violence, bullying or crime. The purpose is to build healthy communities and increase social capital whilst decreasing crime / antisocial behaviour and restoring and repairing relationships.

Responsibilities



To provide support to young people who are residing with the home. You will be providing support for young people with learning disabilities and associated behaviours due to complex needs.

You will be working closely with the day staff to fulfil the young people's needs and safeguard them at all times.

You will be supporting with personal care, administering medication, giving emotional support and supporting with daily household duties.

Requirements



Experience working with children who have learning difficulties and/or emotional challenges. Knowledge of good Safeguarding practices Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential. The ability to build strong relationships from the outset is most important Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Shifts are 7am till 2pm / 2pm - 10pm / 7am till 10pm / waking nights.

Pay: 12.21-13.41 per hour
