Salary:

26.500-28.000 + sleep-in allowance at 55 per sleep

Contract:

Full-time, permanent

Hours:

Rotational shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins

We're looking for caring, resilient, and motivated individuals to join our dedicated team supporting children and young people aged [insert age range, e.g. 8-17] in our residential home.

As a

Children's Residential Support Worker

, you'll provide emotional and practical support, helping young people build confidence, develop life skills, and achieve positive outcomes. Every day is different - from supporting school routines to fun activities and key-working sessions that truly change lives.

Key Responsibilities



Build trusting, supportive relationships with children and young people. Provide a safe, nurturing, and homely environment. Support with daily routines such as education, health, and leisure activities. Promote independence and positive behaviour through consistent boundaries. Keep accurate records and contribute to care plans and reports. Work collaboratively with colleagues, social workers, and other professionals. Take part in shift work including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.

About You



Compassionate, patient, and emotionally resilient. Able to stay calm in challenging situations and think on your feet. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins.

Desirable:



Experience working with children or young people (voluntary or paid). Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete). Full UK driving licence (preferred).
