Residential Support Worker
to join our new Children's Residential Home in
Preston, Lancashire

Job Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will support children with complex needs and will become an essential part of their life by providing them with support in all aspects of their life including health, education, wellbeing, development and independence.
Responsibilities but not limited to
Provide Daily Care and Support Ensure children's physical and emotional needs are met through daily routines, personal care, and nurturing support.
Promote Emotional Wellbeing and Positive Behaviour
Build trusting relationships and use therapeutic approaches to help children manage emotions and develop healthy coping skills.
Safeguard and Protect Children
Maintain a safe environment by following safeguarding policies and promptly reporting concerns or incidents.
Support Education and Development
Encourage school attendance, assist with homework, and promote learning through structured activities and life skills training.
Maintain Accurate Records Document daily logs, incidents, and progress notes to support care planning and meet regulatory requirements.
Work Collaboratively with Others ,Communicate effectively with team members, professionals, and families to provide consistent, high-quality care.
Engage Children in Positive Activities Plan and participate in recreational, cultural, and developmental activities that enhance children's confidence and social skills.
Essentials
Experience with children
- Previous experience in residential (education or another setting)
Qualifications:
Health and Social Care Level 3 or working towards
Skills & Qualities
: Passionate, enthusiastic, approachable, positive, resilient, committed to safeguarding, strong verbal/written communicator, calm under pressure, good sense of humour, willing to learn and develop in their role
Driver:
Valid UK driving license essential
DBS:
Subject to enhance DBS check
