As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals, particularly children, in their daily lives. Your primary focus will be to provide care and support tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring their wellbeing and promoting independence. This position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who can work effectively within a team while also being capable of working independently.
Duties
Assist children with daily activities, including personal care and hygiene
Implement and follow care plans to meet the specific needs of each child
Provide emotional support and encouragement to enhance the children's confidence
Facilitate communication between children, families, and other professionals involved in their care
Maintain accurate records of progress and any changes in behaviour or health
Drive children to appointments or activities as required
Engage in recreational activities that promote social skills and personal development
Skills
Experience with children is essential; previous childcare experience is highly desirable
A valid driving licence is preferred but not andatory for transportation duties
Strong understanding of childcare practices and principles
Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, families, and colleagues
Proficiency in IT for maintaining records and communicating with team members
