Children's Residential Support Worker



Location

: Sowerby Bridge, HX6

Salary

: Up to 32,617 per annum

Hours

: Full-time, permanent (37.5 hours per week) with a flexible shift pattern, including evenings, weekends, and an average of two sleep-ins per week (included in salary). Voluntary overtime is also available.

As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you'll be a crucial part of a passionate team, helping vulnerable young people through their challenges and creating positive change in their lives.

What You'll Be Doing


As a Residential Support Worker, your role will include:

Supporting daily routines

: Supporting children with personal care, meal preparation, and daily activities to help them develop independence

Educational support

: Encouraging and supporting children in their learning journey, assisting with homework, and helping them develop new skills

Leading recreational activities

: Organising and leading recreational activities, including fun events and holidays, to increase engagement and enhance well-being.

Emotional support

: Providing guidance, care, and person-centred support to help children navigate difficult moments

Documentation

: Completing care plans, reports, and maintaining accurate records.

Maintaining a safe environment

: Ensuring the home is clean, secure, and well-organised

Team collaboration

: Working closely with colleagues to create a positive, nurturing environment

Previous experience in residential care is preferred but not essential--we provide full training to support your success in the role.
