About the Role



We Are Care are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a respected

Children's Residential provider

supporting young people with complex needs. We are looking for

Residential Support Workers

who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people who may not have had the best start in life.

What You'll Do



As a Residential Support Worker, you will:

Promote and safeguard the welfare of young people in line with the

Children's Homes Regulations 2015

and

Quality Standards

. Support children with their individual care plans, education, health, and daily living. Build trusting, supportive relationships that encourage development, independence, and resilience. Facilitate and participate in individual and group activities to promote social and emotional wellbeing. Assist with day-to-day household tasks such as budgeting, shopping, and preparing meals. Keep accurate case notes and reports, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and regulatory standards. Attend staff meetings, training, and supervision sessions to support your professional development.

What We're Looking For



Essential:

Compassion, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People's Residential Care (or equivalent). Experience supporting children or young people in a residential or care setting. Full UK driving licence. Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and ongoing professional development. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
