We are looking for individuals who are committed to working with young people to improve their outcomes in life, the right people will recognise the following traits in themselves.
  • Ability to care and support young people build resilience within personal development, providing a safe place to grow and thrive, explore lifelong learning opportunities that will support them in education.
  • Ability to focusing on emotional welfare and promoting best ways of parenting, coaching skills that will support individuals as they transfer through adolescents into adulthood, essentially working towards permanency.
  • To work effectively as part of a team and disciplined to follow advice and guidance set out by the home.
  • Ability to remain composed in conflict, challenging and crisis situations employing a solution focused approach to ensure safe and best practices are employed.
  • Ability to role model positive behaviours and choices for young people to understand and learn.
  • Ability to provide high standards of care for all service users, promoting best practice in achieving agreed goals and ambitions set out by the home.
  • Demonstrate energy, enthusiasm, self-motivated and adaptable in working to a high standard and contributing to a dynamic, developing service.
  • Ability to provide emotional warmth, resilience, and can build positive, trusting and empathetic relationships with young people and their families.
  • Ability to advocate for young people and equally represent the home and organisation professionally to high standards.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills, including excellent IT skills to be able to compile and maintain children and young people\'s records, participating in all aspects of administration.
  • Ability to motivate young people emotionally and physically, participating in recreational activities.
  • The role requires an individual to be flexible; available to cover shifts including evenings, nights weekends and school and public holidays.
