Team Leader / Senior Children's Residential Support Worker / Wigan
Are you an experienced Residential Support Worker ready to make the step up to a Team Leader position?
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our welcoming children's residential home in Wigan, Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities:
Build trusting relationships with children, their families, and other professionals
Assist with implementing individual care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies with the Residential Manager
Promote social, emotional, and physical development of the young people in your care
Maintain accurate records of progress and incidents
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure high-quality care
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities from members of your team
Desirable Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent qualification
Full UK Driving Licence
Ideal Candidates Will Also Be:
Compassionate, empathetic, and caring towards children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties
Enthusiastic, creative, and proactive in engaging children through activities
Experienced in working in a similar setting
Flexible, willing to work a rota including and sleep-ins (fully paid) - 1 shift on, 2 off.
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience with children or young people in residential or care settings
Willingness to step up into a Team Leader role
Excellent understanding of safeguarding principles and child welfare
