Children's Residential Support Workers and Team Leaders
We are seeking a Children's Residential Team Leader to support children and young people who have emotional, behavioural and social difficulties. This role requires caring, passionate individuals that are reliable and outgoing. The role will be to provide 24 hour, 1-1 care to children and young people between the ages of 7-18 years old who have been adversely affected by circumstances and are emotionally vulnerable and sometimes challenging.
You will be working closely with the Registered Manager and child care workers in the running of the provision, assisting in development and implementation of bespoke care plans for children and young people in our care to provide a therapeutic, welcoming and homely environment. Full and comprehensive training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clear leadership and direction to the team
Motivate and inspire team members to achieve their best
Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and experience
Monitor team performance and progress towards goals
Provide feedback, coaching and mentoring to team members
Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development
Maintain open and effective communication with team members, management and other professionals involved
Develop and implement solutions to problems
Qualifications:
1 years experience in the sector is essential
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent Communication skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Strong problem-solving and decision- making abilities
A driving license preferable for the role.
The benefits are a competitive salary from 16.90 per hour.
The location for the role is in the Llysfaen, Conwy.
