Job Summary


The Children's Residential Team Leader plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of a residential care setting for children. This position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who can lead a team in providing high-quality care and support to children. The Team Leader will ensure that care plans are effectively implemented, and will foster a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the well-being and development of each child.

Duties



Lead and supervise a team of childcare staff, ensuring adherence to care plans and best practices. Develop, implement, and review individual care plans for each child, tailoring support to meet their unique needs. Communicate effectively with children, families, and external agencies to ensure collaborative care. Monitor the daily activities of children, providing guidance and support as needed. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and incidents, reporting any concerns to management. Drive initiatives that promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being among children. Facilitate training sessions for staff on relevant childcare practices and policies. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organisational policies.

Qualifications



Proven experience in childcare or residential settings, with a strong understanding of child development. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and adults alike. Experience in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs. IT proficiency for maintaining records and documentation. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation as needed. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. A compassionate approach towards working with vulnerable children, demonstrating patience and empathy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 34,154.00-37,310.00 per year
