We're seeking a dedicated

Waking Night Residential Support Worker

to join our team, providing overnight care and supervision for children and young people aged 3 - 17 in our residential home.

During the night, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of each child, responding to their individual needs and helping to create a warm, nurturing home environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide consistent, high-quality care and supervision throughout the night.

Ensure the home remains safe, secure, and settled.

Offer reassurance and emotional support to children who wake or need assistance.

Carry out regular welfare checks and record observations accurately.

Support morning routines before handing over to the day team.

Complete light household duties and ensure the home is clean and welcoming.

Follow safeguarding policies and maintain professional boundaries at all times.

About You

Empathetic, patient, and able to remain calm under pressure.

Reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a small team.

Excellent communication and observation skills.

Flexible and committed to supporting young people through the night.

Previous experience in a care or support role (especially with children) is desirable.

Qualifications:

Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete).

Full UK driving licence (preferred, but not essential).
