Liaise and work collaboratively with other social care agencies and social care professionals to directly support children, young people and their families to agree and directly provide appropriate intervention services, which may be specialised to achieve positive and agreed outcomes, as directed by their care plan and line manager in line with the Statement of Purpose and business plan.

Bliss Care and Support protects and supports children and young people by providing practical and emotional care and support, ensuring their views, wishes and feelings are heard, encouraging, promoting and advocating opportunities to ensure each young person reaches their full potential, and endeavouring to bring lasting improvements to their lives.

To help us achieve this, the role will:



1. Provide and be responsible for a responsive, high quality and person-centred service to users, their families and our partners based on an assessment of need, that is regularly reviewed and is outcomes driven.

2. Promote a culture of open and honest communication among the staff team. Motivate, lead and generate enthusiasm, positivity and a commitment to others.

3. To have and promote the highest possible standard in relation to safeguarding the young people and members of staff.

4. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with young people and their families and where necessary to encourage and promote involvement to achieve positive outcomes.

5. Develop effective working relationships using various channels of communication with Bliss Care and Support colleagues, partner agencies and other external agencies.

6. Consistently apply Bliss Care and Support's 'Behaviours and Competencies' and Quality standards and to ensure their implementation as necessary and to be proactive in their implementation.

7. Refer appropriate cases and issues that require the involvement of a specialist, other management support or to directly provide the specialist support.

8. Implement and maintain high quality personal plans for their link child which focuses on the young peoples wellbeing outcomes.

9. Attend meetings i.e., service planning meetings, home or site visits, LAC reviews, PEP and EHCP meetings with external agencies, representing Bliss Care and Support, demonstrating professionalism and our core values.

Establish relationships and links within the community to assist our young people and their family to maximise opportunities, implementing the enjoyment and achievement standard.
Work as part of the team to review and evaluate service provision, ensuring continued improvements are applied and where necessary to manage, coach and mentor less experienced staff.

Take responsibility for the daily planning and running of shift where appropriate and ensure that the planning of the following day is clear and structured. Fully implement 'Link working' responsibilities as outlined by the service manager.
14. Record observations and maintain up to date files, utilising agreed systems and procedures. Produce written reports and present these reports as necessary.

Ensure that the needs of young people are taken into account when developing ways to support children, young people and their families to participate fully. Provide support, guidance and direction to less experienced staff through reflective supervision and annual appraisals to develop and empower others, identifying team training needs. Complete and attend all qualifications and training as necessary and directed by management.

Qualification



.Level 3 practice in health and social care, children and young people is

desirable

or equivalent. -

Skills and Experience



Good knowledge of child and adolescent development and the effects of trauma, loss, abuse and deprivation

Knowledge and experience of childcare practice

Knowledge and experience of Safeguarding in residential settings

Knowledge and understanding of working in social care organisations and the sector

Experience of inexperienced care workers, understanding how to support and mentor effectively

To understand and put the homes statement of purpose into practice

Has good knowledge of word processing to complete quality daily recordings.
