Summary


We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Support Worker to join our team within our 3-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) children's home. This is a vital role, supporting the Registered Manager in ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance are delivered at all times.

Responsibilities



Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to children and young people in line with their individual care and placement plans. Lead and motivate the team during shifts, ensuring consistency, professionalism, and best practice. Support in developing and implementing care strategies that promote independence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing. Build trusting, supportive relationships with young people, acting as a positive role model. Contribute to key documentation, including daily logs, risk assessments, and care plans, ensuring records are accurate and up to date. Support in maintaining compliance with Ofsted standards, safeguarding procedures, and company policies. Liaise effectively with families, social workers, and external professionals to ensure continuity of care. Drive company vehicles to support with appointments, school runs, and community activities. Take part in the on-call rota and support shift cover when required.

Requirements



Must be a driver with a full UK driving licence. Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (Children and Young People) or equivalent. Previous experience working in a residential EBD setting is essential. Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills. A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
