We're not just looking for a Senior Support Worker, we're looking for someone who's passion derives from the roots of what children's residential care should be. Our Sessional Support Worker's in our children's home are absolutely crucial and provide fantastic support to our Senior Support Worker's working collaboratively to provide the best care to our children. As a Senior Support Worker the ceiling is incredibly high and we offer fantastic internal progression.
Our Senior Support Worker's work incredibly closely with our Registered Manager to ensure nurturing care is provided and activities and day to day responsibilities are the absolute utmost priority.
Our little home is located in Huddersfield and our home is designed to positively promote the well-being and safety of 'Looked After' children and young people for whom residential care is the best option. The Hollies is a home providing medium to long term care.
You will be working on a rolling rota, with a stable and highly supportive team to meet the varied needs of our children, aged 8-14 with Emotional/ Social Behavioural Difficulties, alongside promoting their independence, responsibility taking and enabling further positive progression within society and themselves and most importantly having fun and doing enjoyable activities with the children.
This roll will involve a working a 3-week rolling shift pattern with your team, 8am to 10.30pm on the following pattern.
Wk1 Monday, Wednesday & Saturday
Wk2 Tuesday, Friday & Sunday
Wk3 Thursday
This role will include sleep shifts.
NVQ / Diploma Level 3 Health & Social Care (Child based) qualification or equivalent is essential.
You will know that you are making a positive difference to each young people's lives.
A full driving licence is essential for the role to be able to provide the high quality of care we do. Non drivers should not apply, you will not be shortlisted, All our homes have access to at least 2 company cars for children, there is no expectation that you will need to use your own, like with other companies.
