About the Role



Ready Care Services Ltd is a well-established and reputable care provider with a strong presence in the adult care sector across Essex and Hertfordshire. As part of our strategic expansion, we are launching a new

Children's Supported Living Service

and are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and compassionate

Ofsted Registered Children's Home Manager

to lead this exciting development from our Slough office.

This is a unique opportunity to shape and manage a brand-new provision from the ground up. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in setting up and running the service, ensuring it meets and exceeds Ofsted standards and provides exceptional care to children and young people.

Key Responsibilities



Register with Ofsted as the Children's Home Registered Manager and ensure the home meets all regulatory and statutory requirements. Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team to provide person-centred, therapeutic, and trauma-informed support to children and young people. Promote the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of all residents. Manage all aspects of the service including compliance, safeguarding, quality assurance, risk management, staffing, and reporting. Ensure care plans and risk assessments are up to date, reflective of individual needs, and promote positive outcomes. Build and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, social workers, families, and relevant stakeholders. Requirements



Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare

(or equivalent).

Minimum 2 years of managerial experience

in a children's residential or supported living setting. In-depth knowledge of the

Children's Homes Regulations 2015

Ofsted Framework

. Demonstrable leadership and team development skills. Strong commitment to safeguarding and a child-centred approach. Ability to manage complex behaviours and implement positive behaviour strategies. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undergo one). Ability to commute to Bedford or relocate prior to start date.

Desirable



Experience in registering a new service with Ofsted. A valid UK driving licence. Experience working with children and young people with complex needs or emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

45,000 - 50,000 per year
