As Team Manager (SEND), you will lead the delivery and coordination of statutory SEND processes to ensure compliance and improve outcomes for children and young people aged 0-25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You will manage a team of SEND Officers and support staff overseeing the end-to-end process of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and support a team responsible for EHCP statutory processes.
Oversee quality assurance and timely completion of EHCPs, ensuring legal compliance.
Contribute to the SEND Improvement Plan and the development of EHCPs across all phases.
Provide specialist advice to schools, families, post-16 settings, and other professionals.
Lead multi-agency panels, tribunals, mediation, and statutory meetings.
Work closely with Inclusion Leads and Resource Managers to manage placement demand and resource allocation.
Support transitions at all phases, with a focus on Preparing for Adulthood.
Maintain accurate ICT systems and performance data reporting.
Supervise casework, provide professional development, and conduct performance reviews.
Contribute to local area inspection preparation and SEND strategy delivery.
Ensure children's voices are central to planning and provision.
