Do you have the vision, resilience, and expertise to influence the future of children's residential care? We are seeking an outstanding
Social Care Consultant
to provide strategic oversight, professional guidance, and improvement support across multiple residential homes in the South East.
This is a high-impact role where your leadership and knowledge will strengthen safeguarding practice, embed compliance, and empower Registered Managers to deliver the very best outcomes for children and young people.
What You'll Do
Ensure homes meet and exceed Ofsted regulations, the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
Provide expert consultancy, mentoring, and professional support to Registered Managers.
Champion safeguarding and embed safe, accountable practice throughout all services.
Guide services through Ofsted inspections, aiming for 'Good' or 'Outstanding' ratings.
Advise on operational effectiveness, including staffing, budgets, and resource management.
Build strong partnerships with local authorities, social workers, and regulators.
Lead initiatives in workforce training, development, and performance management.
Promote a culture of accountability, reflection, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
At least 3 years' senior leadership or consultancy experience in children's residential care.
NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve).
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted inspection frameworks, and Quality Standards.
Proven leadership, advisory, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence practice and drive improvement.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South East.
A genuine commitment to ensuring children receive the highest standards of care.
