We are looking for enthusiastic and independent contractors who share a passion for working with children and young people under the age of 16. The ideal candidate will be confident in planning and delivering sports, arts, outdoor play, and game experiences for children in a fun, safe, and engaging way.
As part of our summer team, you will help create a positive and energetic environment where children can learn new skills, stay active, and enjoy the summer break. This is a fantastic opportunity for students, childcare professionals, youth workers, educators, coaches, creative artists, or anyone passionate about working with children during the summer holidays.
Avaiablity
We are looking for contractors who are available
to work between August 5th and August 29th 2025.
Our camps run every
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
for four weeks during this period. You are welcome to let us know your availability, We aim to build a flexible schedule that works for everyone.
Payment
This is an independent contractor position, which means you will be responsible for submitting an invoice for your work. Payments will be processed within 2-5 working days and will be transferred directly to your chosen account. The role pays
12.21
per hour, with a requirement of
5 hours of work per day.
We offer up to 4 days of work per week through to August 31st.
Responsibilities
Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment
Assist in planning and setting up daily activities incuding sports and art sessions
Communicate with parents and team members professionally
Support children with their individual needs
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies
Requirements
Proven experience working with children
in a childcare, educational, or youth setting is essential.
A
background in early childhood education
is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills
in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to
manage and engage groups of children
while encouraging positive behaviour.
Commitment to following all
safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies
.
Leadership skills
to motivate and support fellow staff members and volunteers.
A
genuine passion for supporting children's development
through creative, active, and enriching experiences.
A
clean and up-to-date DBS check
is required.
Must be available to
attend a mandatory training session prior to the start date
