Residential Support Worker - Children's Residential Care


Location:

Stoke-on-Trent

Pay:

14.00 per hour (unqualified) | 15.00 per hour (qualified)

Additional:

Sleep-in payments at 50 per night

Contract:

Full-time, Permanent

We are looking for dedicated Residential Support Workers to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent. This role offers the chance to support children and young people within a stable, therapeutic residential environment where their wellbeing, development, and future success are the priority.

Key Responsibilities



Deliver person-centred care within a residential setting Support young people emotionally, socially, and practically Assist in developing and implementing individual care plans Encourage independence, life skills, and positive routines Work closely with colleagues to maintain a safe and homely environment Transport young people to school, appointments, and activities (driving essential) Maintain clear and accurate records in line with policies and regulations

Requirements



Genuine enthusiasm for supporting children and young people Strong communication and teamwork skills Resilient, empathetic, and proactive approach Full UK driving licence (essential) Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare if unqualified Experience in residential childcare (preferred but not required)
