Responsibilities Day-to-Day:

Supporting the children to feel safe, loved, and cared in a warm homely environment. Supporting the children to build and maintain positive and trusting relationships with the important the people in their lives. Supporting the children with energy, enthusiasm, and engagement as they take part in day to life, including, education, hobbies, and interests. Treating the children as individuals and demonstrating a commitment to go on the journey of learning life skills with them. Taking pride in the appearance of the home, ensuring a clean, homely, and safe environment.

Requirements:

An openness to learn about and to complete formal training in pACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy). This is a therapeutic parenting model that we are currently embedding at Acre Farm which is designed to support the young people to heal from their early trauma and feel safer in their new attachments. Good communication skills. A fun-loving attitude! A caring and thoughtful nature. Able to work shifts at weekends and bank holidays. Willingness to learn and gain qualifications. Live within a 40-minute drive of Framfield. Have a full UK driving licence. Have the right to live and work in the UK.
