Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children's Support Worker to join our team. This role is essential in providing assistance and support to children with various needs, ensuring their well-being and fostering a positive environment for their growth and development. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and possess a genuine passion for working with children.

Duties

Provide one-on-one support to children, assisting them with daily activities and personal care as needed. Foster a safe and nurturing environment that encourages children's emotional and social development. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create tailored support plans for each child. Engage children in educational and recreational activities that promote learning and social interaction. Monitor and document children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns that arise during sessions. Maintain confidentiality regarding children's information and adhere to safeguarding policies at all times.

Requirements

Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or behavioural challenges, is desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, families, and colleagues. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism. A genuine passion for supporting children's development and well-being. Relevant qualifications in childcare or education would be advantageous but are not essential. Flexibility in working hours may be required to meet the needs of the children supported.
