Job Description

Join our dedicated team as a Children's Social Worker within the Assessment and Intervention (A&I) Team in Oldham, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and families in our community. As a qualified social worker, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, and providing support to children and their families in need. Your expertise will help create positive outcomes for vulnerable children while working collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
Developing and implementing effective intervention strategies tailored to individual cases.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.

Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony as required.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
Current registration with Social Work England.
Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and intervention.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
Sound knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
