Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Social Work - Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team in Cambridgeshire. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families in our community. As a key member of our MASH team, you will work collaboratively with various agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of children at risk, providing timely interventions and support.
Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children's needs and risks, ensuring that all relevant information is gathered and analyzed.
  • Collaborating with partner agencies, including health, education, and law enforcement, to develop effective safeguarding plans.
  • Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions are made.
  • Providing support and guidance to families, helping them navigate challenges and access necessary resources.
  • Documenting and maintaining accurate records in accordance with legislative and organizational standards.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrated experience in children's social work, particularly within a safeguarding context.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with children and families.
