Job Description

Join our dedicated Youth Justice Team in Wokingham as a Children's Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in supporting young individuals within the justice system. You will work collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to promote positive outcomes and ensure the safety and well-being of children in our care. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing needs, developing intervention plans, and providing direct support to young people and their families.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and their families to identify risks and needs.
Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans to support young people in the justice system.
Collaborating with partner agencies, including schools, health services, and law enforcement, to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.
Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to care planning and reviews.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
Registration with Social Work England.
Experience working with children and young people, particularly in a youth justice context.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children and families.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a diverse caseload.
