About the Role
MJM Care Group is seeking a committed and reflective Children's Wellbeing Practitioner to join our therapeutic residential children's home, supporting children and young people aged 7-17 with emotional and behavioural needs.
The post holder will be responsible for providing safe, consistent, and high-quality care in line with regulatory requirements and best practice. You will contribute to the creation of a nurturing, trauma-informed environment where children feel listened to, valued, and supported to achieve positive outcomes.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support children's emotional wellbeing, promote positive behaviour, and help them develop resilience, independence, and life skills. You will actively contribute to care planning, risk management, and safeguarding practices, ensuring that each child's needs are met in a way that reflects their individual strengths and experiences.

Responsibilities
Support young people with daily routines, emotional wellbeing and education
Build safe, trusting relationships and provide a nurturing presence
Deliver keywork sessions and contribute to individual care plans
Promote a therapeutic environment and uphold safeguarding practice
Work collaboratively with your team to provide consistent, high-quality care
What We're Looking For
A genuine desire to support vulnerable children
Emotional resilience and a calm, reflective approach
Flexibility to work shifts including sleep-ins and weekends
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve it)
