Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and customer service. Experience preferred in a food related environment but not essential. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food safety and preparation.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and ensure all items are prepared according to the menu specifications. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food, and addressing customer inquiries. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the shop, including kitchen areas and serving stations. Adhere to food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of products is served. Utilise basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation during busy periods. Manage time effectively to complete tasks promptly while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred but not essential Relevant kitchen skills would be an advantage. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour towards customers.
