We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Chiropodist to join our Pharmacy Team. The individual will have an understanding of business and be prepared to help their sector of the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, particularly in settings such as nursing homes and hospice care. As a Chiropodist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating foot-related conditions, ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients, particularly seniors. Your expertise in anatomy and clinical research will contribute to the overall health and well-being of those under your care.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' foot health and mobility.
Diagnose and treat various foot conditions including corns, calluses, and fungal infections.
Provide patient education on foot care and preventive measures.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
Administer medications as required and monitor patient responses.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments provided.
Participate in public health initiatives to promote awareness of foot health.
Offer home care services for patients unable to visit the clinic.
Requirements
Relevant qualifications in podiatry or chiropody.
Proven experience in patient care, preferably within hospice or senior care settings.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the lower extremities.
Familiarity with clinical research methodologies is advantageous.
Experience with medical imaging techniques is a plus.
Ability to administer medication safely and effectively.
Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient interactions.
