Peak Edge Hotel is an independently owned 4-star hotel on the outskirts of Chesterfield. The hotel offers an outstanding dining experience in our 2-rosette award winning Red Lion restaurant. We use the finest cuts of meat and quality produce which arrive directly from the owner's farm on the outskirts of Chesterfield.

We are seeking a highly motivated Kitchen Porter to join a strong and dynamic team over the most exciting months of the year!

We are quickly heading into the hustle and bustle of our fun Christmas season, and the team are ready to welcome some helping hands!

You will be responsible for the proper handling, cleaning and sanitation of all hotel china, crystal, silver, glass, kitchen and bar wares, pots, pans, banquet equipment. Maintains kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties. Prepares ingredients for Chefs, Cooks and waiting on staff.

Due to the physical nature of the role, applicants must be over the age of 18.

Duties and responsibilities:

Washes pots, pans, and trays. Sweeps and mops kitchen floors. Organizes crockery shelves and ensures each kitchen has the relevant crockery for its service Ensures the back corridor is swept and mopped each shift Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks. Removes rubbish and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out rubbish bins Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator. Stores foods in designated areas. Takes special care in maintaining all storage procedures for china, silver, crystal, cups, glasses, utensils, pots, pans trays for kitchen, banquets and dining rooms, include lounge and bar. Organizes and checks deliveries as required ensuring all stock is rotated.

Due to Peak Edge's location applicants need to have own means of transport. This is a temporary position primarily, however, there is opportunity to extend if interested!

Pay: Up to 12.49 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 32 per week
