Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. You will play a key role in creating a positive experience for our customers while demonstrating your knowledge of coffee and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils. Ensure compliance with food safety standards during food preparation and beverage service. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and offering recommendations. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours. Assist with food preparation as needed, including pastries or light snacks. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain the till. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the cafe.

Qualifications

Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders. Knowledge of food safety practices is preferred. Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently. A friendly disposition with a willingness to help customers and colleagues alike. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
