The Creative Industries New Entrants programme (CINE) is a new initiative which aims to broaden access to the screen and creative industries at entry level. Funded by the Department for Communities and working in partnership with BBC Northern Ireland, the scheme will help identify new talent. In line with UK-wide screen industry initiatives we will prioritise applicants from underrepresented ethnic minority, socio-economic, and disabled communities, to expand our growing creative industries sector and create a more diverse generation of \xe2\x80\x98New Entrants\xe2\x80\x99 of all ages. These opportunities are only available if you are over 18.

Paper Owl Films Ltd. was founded in 2012 by Grainne McGuinness, Stephen Petticrew and Gavin Halpin, and employs a dedicated collective of storytellers, film makers, animators and creators across our animation and live action projects. Paper Owl specialises in producing content for younger viewers across international broadcast and digital platforms. JOB DESCRIPTION \xe2\x80\x93 Trainee Animator x 2 Posts - RLW / 37.5 hrs 18 month Contract

What you will be doing:

The Trainee Animator will be creating broadcast ready 2D animation by following the animatic along with the series director\xe2\x80\x99s and animation director\xe2\x80\x99s guidance, while also supporting the project where needed. The role will consist of but not limited to:

• Creating broadcast ready animation for a 2D preschool show
• Working as part of a team to hit episodic deadlines and quotas.
• Taking on board and addressing notes from the series director and art director.
• Trouble shoot and correct problems or issues as they appear.
• Provide support where needed on the project..
