: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this Opportunity



As a Junior Infrastructure Specialist, you'll contribute to the support of the Unisys Clearpath platform and the maintenance and delivery of associated Infrastructure, Products & Services that will maintain and improve the 24 x 7 availability of the CBS (Core Banking System)


Accountabilities:


Install and maintain products and services according to Group standards and policies and to agreed service levels in line with the Platform Roadmap. Provision of technical support (which will include both incident and problem resolution) for systems and processes in complex environments. Carry out technical activities in support of project delivery, service improvement and ongoing support of the platform which may involve out of hours working. Remediate risks associated with the environment as requested by senior SMEs. Able to provide support on a standard hours, and Out of Hours basis where requested to support change implementation. Ensure all elements of the Unisys delivery of Business and Internal projects are completed to specification and plan. Ensure delivery to all internal customers is controlled in a standard and repeatable way using best practice processes and tools to deliver a world class service. External team liaison and project team representation if required to support senior SMEs. Prioritisation of incidents and problems ensuring regular updates are provided on all Severity 1 and 2 issues. Challenges existing practices and approaches, and regularly suggests improvements and new ideas that will benefit the experience of the Business / Customers when dealing with Group CIO. Completes complex and non-standard assigned tasks, e.g. hardware / software installation, within timescales, and completing all required documentation to the required standard. Role Specific Capabilities & Knowledge:


Basic knowledge of Unisys Clearpath Platform Software & Hardware Infrastructure Basic knowledge of Operating System & Components, Communications Software, Networking & Supporting Software Products Basic knowledge of Unisys Databases Capability to learn programming languages (including): COBOL, C, Python, SSG, MASM / Assembler. An awareness of ITIL processes including Service, Change and Incident / Problem awareness of other platforms / technologies (including): Windows Server, Linux, MQ, IIS, SQL, ASP, Visual Basic
